• IMF bumps up global forecast

    The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is raising its global economic forecast following the USD1.9tr round of stimulus in the US as well as a vaccine-fueled recovery in advanced economies. IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva said that economic expansion this year will be higher than the January projections of 5.5%.
